The end of the ceremony was chaos with everyone going up and congratulating the new Chief (at the right). Everyone enjoyed more FREE muffins and coffee!(above). A picture perfect portrait of the Chief and his family(above right).

The New Chief makes his long awaited speech to a sea of familiar and new faces, he didn't break a sweat. In his speech he mentions his vision for the police department "a professional law enforcement organization that is efficient and effective, responsive to the community and adaptable to these dynamic and challenging times."

Now it's time for the pinning of the badge and let's hope my Aunt doesn't miss... I wouldn't look either.

Vice President Rose Lee gave the oath of office for Chief Decena.

The ceremony continued with the former SJSU Chief of Police, Andre Barnes gave comments and advice to the new Chief.

As everyone was seated we said the Pledge of Allegiance which was lead by my cousins, Nathan and Natalie.
